I'm looking into starting skateboarding, so I was looking at some other questions for beginner skateboarders. People who answered were saying things like "you can get any type of trucks or bearings", etc. And I do not know what those are, call me a noob, but please tell me what these are so I can purchase my first skateboard. Thanks =)
decks: zero, alien workshop, flip (the have great pop, last long, light, deep concave)
wheels: bones , autobahn, spitfire (rolls fast and smooth)
bearings: bones reds, swiss ceramic (easy to clean, rolls smooth and fast, some have removable shields, great quality
trucks: phantom, silver, tensor (last, long lasting, smooth and stable turning)
griptape: mob grip (they have this crazy technology to make it super grippy, and its got small holes so there wont be any air bubbles when u stick it on top of the deck)
harder: any kind it doesnt really matter (just buy nuts and bolts)
go to
skateamerica.com
Preferably 7.5-7.75, I'm like a size 7.5 in women's.
I'm new to skating so I have no idea what brand I should get, how much I should spend, or if I should buy a deck or a complete.
I kind of like Krown's designs, but I don't know what kind of board to get at all.
dont just buy a deck cause its gonna end up costing more than a complete.and dont just go on design go for feel. and no one can really tell u cause its different for every1.
like for me flip and bam boards are most comfortable for me
for u it might be blind or blank or element. its different for every1
I know that supposedly if you freeze your skateboarding wheels, they last longer, and I tried that, and it worked; but I want to know if your supposed to freeze the bearings too?
I would say no. I don't really skateboard… i have one but can barely run it. but i do know a lot about metals.freezing bearings would make the metal hard and thus brittle, and that may cause them to crack and chip and eventually become ruined. so i would just keep them well greased and they should last for a fair bit of time.
I some people with Ollie Nation gear on and I'm dying to know where to get the shirts – they were pretty awesome; looked like skateboard, surf clothes – straight up urban gear – anyone know?
ebay … or a skate shop
I am athletic, coordinated, and I snow skied for several years when I was a kid. I never rode a skateboard. I want to take a lesson before I go with friends. I want to be cool and not dorky. Can you give me some advice, what to wear, what gear I need to buy and what gear I should rent until I get better.
hell why not its cool to be dorky if u fall down
isnt that part of the fun
of snowboarding when u fall down when your trying out u laugh at your self
and when u fall down make a snow angel
i rather be dorky then cool anyways..
i dont want to have to prove to anything to anyone i just rather be my self so people will relax around you and lighten up
