Im 12 years old. I am going to join skateboarding in couple months. I want to learn the basics; like ollio, kickflip, healflip, manual, etc.
Idk where/what to buy. I am just thinking of going to wal mart or target and buying some boards and gears. My body is really slim. I am 5"3 and i am skinny as heck. I am weak lol. What size or whateva should i buy and where?
Should I just go to Target and buy the skateboards and gears or should i order online somewhere that sells good things?
I am a beginer. I am very good at handling a skateboard but i dont kno any tricks yet. I kno how to do a manual but my old skatboard broke. well not broke but its old and rusty and too big for me. So i want to buy a new skateboard with new gears and helmet.
So wat should i do?
STOP STOP STOP!!! Don't buy skateboards or gear from walmart or target or any mass conglomerate. They are weak construction, have no pop whatsoever and just plain suck.
If you want some good deals you need to check out your local skateshop. Or go to a mall and checkout some skate stores in there.
Since you're a begginer here's a way to save some money and get a great set up.
Buy a blank deck. There's no need for a picture anyways since you are going to be scraping it off from the ground and rails from practice. They are way cheaper and hold up just as good if not better.
To make a deck complete you will need the deck, grip tape, trucks, risers, hardware, trucks, bearings, and wheels. Slap em all together and you have yourself a great skateboard.

Ok much better question this time around. I've been shopping around for some new snowboard gear. I'm new to it so I have done a lot of research but still I am a little lost on what to get. I have skateboarded they say that's not very close, but I have freeboarded which is basically snowboarding on pavement.
First question I had was I have been looking at stuff online and I came across a couple place http://www.proboardshop.com/ and http://www.the-house.com/ both seem reasonable but you never know when buying things online. Anybody heard about or purchased from either?
Second question would be anybody know a good beginner to intermediate level board?
