So yeah I’ve picked up a deck started skating a little and my wheels are starting to wear off, so I’m getting new wheels. And naturally being a complete idiot to skating I’ve a couple of issues.
Firstly. I’m riding a 7.5 deck which personally i think is too small for me. I’m not a big guy really but I just find 7.75 boards more stable.
So my first question: Should i get a new deck? A 7.75 or 8 (I skate street)
If so, my old trucks which fit on a 7.5, can they be used for my new deck or do I have to get new trucks?
The wheels i’m looking at online have some funny specs which are completely Greek to me. So what is best for me? (As street shredder)
"SDS Steadfast Wheels Red
STEADFAST URETHANE "SOLIDS" – DUROMETER 99A
SIZES: 50MM / 52MM/ 54MM "
No idea what it means. Need help. Period.
Lastly, when I get wheels what do I need to get along with it? I do mostly online shopping cause its a hassle to get around in my busy schedule.
Finally (I promise), it’s a pretty comprehensive question so I would like to thank YOU, dear sir or ma’am, for reading it. Bonjour
Oh yeah, should i get skate shoes which are small like most Vans shoes or the bulky ones that I got from Etnies.
With love, me.
urethane is a type of plastic. the rating **A is the grade of hardness it has, 99A is indeed pretty hard, i ride some mini logos that are at 98A, and as for wheels in general, really you gotta try all diff sized till you find the right one for you. for me its 52 mm, some ppl like 50 or even 48. some like 54-58. just depends on you, as for the bigger deck, ride whats comfy to you. trucks will fit on any board unless you go into longboards, in which case, they use different sized trucks.
