ive always thought skating was just spectacuuular !!! im 14 so you know i dont wanna get old and die before i learn . any board recomendations for a beginner ( and yea im going to a real skate shop not walmart )
Skateboarding is great. But starting new at the age of 14 is gonna piss you off. Its effort to start, but you can learn quickly as long as you have BALLS. Trying ramps is the scariest but once you can do them its easy, not scary, and much more fun. Dont stop trying coz then you will regret it. Skateboarding is seriously going to be the main hobby in your life if you start so keep at it or you will get bored. As for a board. Get anything. Make sure the deck (The wood that you stand on) is the right size with any logo or picture you want on it. Bearing i recommend lucky bearings because theyre cheap and last forever and are fast. Wheels i recommend any but at an average size. Not to big, not to small, just in the middle, the skate shop owner will understand what size. Trucks doesnt matter either because you wont be grinding for a while. And i recommend getting some screws n stuff because it sucks when a screw falls out. Anyway good luck starting have fun and have balls its worth it. I recommend trying with a friend too, you will motivate each other to do more and go farther, a bit of competition never hurt 
When I am on skateboard I am facing the left direction predominately, but when I am riding my skateboard on the right side I am elementary and I can’t ride it. Any tips on how I could get better on the side I can’t ride with. I can barely even pull off without falling down. Basically being "ambidextrous" on the skateboard. Thanks Mateys.
not everyone can skate both directions. even professionals. if you’re a beginner, you don’t need to know how to skate switch. but if you want to, all you have to do is keep skating in that position, even if it feels extremely uncomfortable or awkward. just keep practicing.
P.S. facing the left is called "goofy." facing the right is called "regular." (there’s nothing wrong with skating goofy, it’s just the name"

How to backside shove it! Now I’ve got both shove it trick tip vids out. Next I’ll probably make a couple 180 vids, and then I’m running low on ideas. So if you’ve got a trick you want me to do a trick tip on, send me a PM and let me know! I’ll be sure to do one for the popular tricks.

I am teaching myself to skateboard, and I need some tips. Please help.

Im all ready pretty good but I crash and go flying alot lol any tips
- Never give up, you can’t learn everything in one day.. If you could you would be a pro by now
- Laugh at fear, it will get you far
- a good board makes a good skater (If it’s not comfy… Buy a new one)
You can also start on a heavier board then switch to a lighter when when your better, It’s a morale boost when you can do crazy stuff all of the sudden!

Wow… so I got like… 30 private messages, all from different users asking for a vid on fakie bs bigspins over the last couple weeks, so I figured I knew what I was doing next.
Chemistry Final Exam tomorrow. I should be good for it, but should probably go back to studying nonetheless. Then I’ll be free! And I can make more and more videos over the next few days! I may even get to go to a sweet skatepark off-island that I’ve been itching to go to lately.

So I posted a question on facebook asking what trick tip they’d like to see next. And an overwhelming majority said they wanted to see vids on how to skate switch, and how to do half cabs and cabbalarials. So here’s the beginning of 4 videos on how to half cab and cabbalarial. I was thinking of making the FS’s all one video, and the BS’s all one video, but I figure people would rather watch a couple shorter videos that are more focused, than one longer video that tells you how to do two tricks.
After I’ve got these Cab vids out, I’ll probably get to BS and FS flips, and then probably go to fakie bs and fs flips. But we’ll see. Either way, I have to practice em so I can get some good clean ones on film. Haha.
