Flip Skateboards’ newest pro, Luan Oliveira is from Porto Alegre, Brazil. He currently lives in Long Beach, Calif., and can be seen destroying the Cherry Park ledges on a daily basis. Over the past few years, Oliveira has been annihilating every am contest in his path (he’s the only skateboarder to have won the Tampa Am twice in a row, in 2008 and 2009), and after a groundbreaking part in Flip’s “Extremely Sorry,” he is showing skateboarders worldwide where the future of progressive street skating is headed.

Shred America is the Documentary featuring Arthur Swidzinski, Micheal Kosciesza, James Lagen, and Tony Michal. Skate It will be set in San Vanelona, the same fictional city as the original game. However several mysterious disasters have caused widespread damage and a mass evacuation of the city, leaving the player free to skate alone and undisturbed. However, they will be able to travel to other cities in the world later in the game.
Because the Nintendo DS and Wii lack the dual analog joysticks that were used for control in the original game, the controls for Skate It will be redesigned to take advantage of the platform’s respective control methods. For example, the Wii version will utilize the motion sensing of the Wii Remote to control the player’s skateboard, with gestures used to perform tricks, while the Nintendo DS version will feature stylus and touchscreen control. The Wii version will also feature support for the Wii Balance Board.
The Wii version will feature a modified version of the original’s game engine, and will support 480p and widescreen display options. The Instant Replay feature from the original game will also return. The Wii version will also offer a deep and unique career mode that allows the player to earn sponsors, unlock gear, and travel the world, a first for the series. In addition, a number of offline multiplayer modes will be available.

Santa Monica, CA — Sept. 12, 2007 — Starting today gamers can begin to create their own skating legacy on Xbox 360 with Activision, Inc.’s (Nasdaq: ATVI) demo of Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground. Available now on Xbox LIVE Marketplace, the demo gives fans a first taste of choosing their own skating style, the newest gameplay mechanics and advanced features from the deepest, most customizable skateboarding game ever. A demo for the PLAYSTATION3 system will be available on the PLAYSTATIONStore beginning Thursday, September 13.

The demo takes skaters to Philadelphia (one of three cities in Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground) to begin shredding the pavement as contest-winning Career Athletes, fast and furious Hardcore Skaters and creative maverick Riggers, who alter and modify the world into their own skate park. As players progress they will experience the latest advancements in the world-renowned franchise, including Nail the Grab, for the ultimate control of grab tricks and tweaks; the Aggro Kick for clearing huge gaps; Rigging goals, enabling players to tweak the environment however they want to create unique skate lines; and video creation with the full-featured video editor for epic skate videos.

Tony Hawk’s Proving Ground is being developed by Neversoft Entertainment for the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PLAYSTATION3 computer entertainment system and is rated “T” (Teen) by the ESRB. The title is scheduled for release October 16. Versions are also in development for the Wii home video game system and PlayStation2 computer entertainment system by Page 44 Studios, which are rated “T” (Teen) by the ESRB; and the Nintendo DS by Vicarious Visions carrying a rating of “E 10+” (Everyone 10 and older.
